Sania Maskatiya to introduce ‘Décorer’ at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week #PSFW16

Sania Maskatiya - Decorer [F]This S/S ’16, Sania Maskatiya reveal their signature geometrics featuring a fresh boldness in both abstraction and simplification, paying homage to the angular elegance of the Art Deco movement with ‘Décorer’ on 11th March 2016 PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week.

Contrasting multifaceted motifs, from the stark to the sublime, with streamlined silhouettes, Décorer marries the eclectic to the traditional, using rich hues and lavish ornamentation. Accentuated by a myriad of embroidered textures on matching separates, all assertive in their assorted luxury, Décorer radiates an organic fluidity reminiscent of the Art Nouveau Era For the showcase, Sania Maskatiya has collaborated Charles & Keith for footwear with a soundtrack mixed by celebrated DJ Shah Munir.

“This collection marks a further evolution in design from the House of Sania Maskatiya. We embrace a diversity of texture against a more structured silhouette to present a collection that is true to our signature of practical elegance and luxury wear.” said Sania Maskatiya.

A textile design graduate of the prestigious Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi, Pakistan, Sania Maskatiya, joined hands with business partner and director Umair Tabani in 2010, to create a distinctive, eponymous, clothing label that has captured the fashion industry by storm. Their work has led them to win three Lux Style Awards for Achievement in Luxury Pret and Achievement in Lawn respectively. Indeed the fashion label employs its own in-house printing, embroidery and stitching units with a dedicated team of talented textile graduates.

Sania Maskatiya herself currently serves as a member of the Fashion Pakistan Council board and has been appointed as a member of the Executive Committee for the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture.
